Terms of Service
Secure It Express takes the transportation of your items seriously and considers it a privilege that you would choose to partner with us.
1. Pick Up Time
Pick up times are mutually agreed upon between "Secure It Express" and the "Sender".
In the event that the items to be transported are not ready upon arrival, "Secure It Express" will wait a maximum of 10 minutes before charging a waiting fee of $5.00 for every 10 minutes our drivers wait. 2. Package Size, Weight and Condition
It is the "Sender's" responsibility to ensure that all items are fit and safe to be transported by "Secure It Express".
"Secure It Express" will handle individual items up to 50 pounds in weight or a combined total weight of no more than 3000 pounds.
The "Sender" must ensure that the "Recipient" is able to remove larger items, palletized items and/or crated items from our vehicle at their location.
It is recommended that the "Sender" review our Load Capacity page before booking to ensure we have the appropriate space for their items. 3. Rates and Payment
Our rates vary dependent on pickup and delivery location or load size. To request a quote please give us a call or send us a message.
"Secure It Express" accepts payment from commercial "Sender's" by:
a.) Direct Payment;
b.) Debit;
c.) Visa; or
d.) MasterCard. "Secure It Express" accepts payment from residential "Senders" by:
a.) Debit;
b.) Visa; or
c.) MasterCard. All fees are subject to 13% Harmonized Sales Tax. 4. Service Hours
"Secure It Express" operates Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
Services provided outside of these dates and times can be arranged with an added surcharge. 5. Required Information
It is the "Sender's" responsibility to provide "Secure It Express" with the "Recipients" details, such as:
a.) Business name;
b.) Contact person;
c.) Telephone number;
d.) Street address;
e.) City/Town;
f.) Province; and
g.) Any special instructions. 6. Payment Collection
"Secure It Express" is not responsible for the collection of payment from the "Recipient". All payments are to be arranged by the "Sender" and settled with the "Recipient" prior to the delivery being made. 7. Delay, Loss or Damage
"Secure It Express" shall not be liable for any loss, damage or unreasonable delays arising from the following sources:
a.) Acts of nature or public enemies;
b.) Wars, riots or insurrection;
c.) Strikes;
d.) Authority of Law;
e.) Defect or inherent vice in goods shipped; and/or
f.) Road accidents or traffic. "Secure It Express" is not responsible for goods improperly wrapped, packed or boxed for shipment.
Please note that we will not deliver to a location where our vehicles may incur damage due to poor road conditions. 8. Weather Conditions
"Secure It Express" delivers throughout all sorts of weather conditions. In the event of a snow, wind or rain storm where the authorities have issued official warnings, we will try our best to deliver your items as agreed.
"Secure It Express" reserves the right to deny transport until the end of the weather condition if it is determined to be a danger to our drivers. 9. Receipt of Deliveries
"Secure It Express" will only deliver to the "Recipient" identified by the "Sender" and will require a signature and photo identification.
If the "Recipient" is not present to receive the item(s), "Secure It Express" will contact the "Sender" for further instruction.
To ensure the safety and security of a "Senders" item(s), identification of the "Recipient" will be verified for all non-commercial deliveries. If a "Recipient" is not able to verify their identity (i.e. photo ID), the delivery will not be made. 10. Illegal Items
Under no circumstance will "Secure It Express" deliver illegal items, products or goods. If the "Sender" knowingly ships illegal items through "Secure It Express", the "Sender" assumes all responsibilities, fines, or legal actions and release us of all liabilities.
Under no circumstances will "Secure It Express" deliver money (paper or coin). If the "Sender" knowingly ships money through "Secure It Express", the "Sender" assumes all responsibilities, fines, or legal actions and release us of all liabilities.
The "Sender" will indemnify "Secure It Express" and keep us indemnified against any costs, expenses, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, claims, demands, proceedings or legal costs and judgements which we suffer as a result of a breach of our terms of service. 11. General Exclusions of Liability
"Secure It Express" will not be liable to the "Sender" for any loss, damage, mis-delivery, non-delivery or delayed delivery of any package which occurs as a direct or indirect result of:
a.) Anything the "Sender" or their employees or agents do or omit to do or any misstatement or misrepresentation the "Sender", their employees or agents make;
b.) The package being insufficiently or improperly packaged;
c.) The package being incorrectly or insufficiently addressed or labelled; and/or
d.) The product shipped is already faulty, or damaged. |
